Dance Theater
North Dallas High School Dance Theater (NDHSDT) is home to the Vikingettes Drill Team, Bulldog Dance Company, Junior Varsity Dance Ensemble, and Dance 1 & 2. The Vikingette Drill Team been around for 70 year, hence the name! We wanted to stick to the tradition so as the school moved on to become the Bulldogs, we decided to keep some history. We have provided our community of supporters with a wide range of performances and shows. Come in today and check out our classes!
OUR MISSION
NDHSDT is a program focused on developing and immersing scholars in the art of dance. Scholars will learn about different forms of dance, history, social and emotional benefits, and dance health. Scholars will engage in coursework and seasonal performances throughout the year.
The mission is to cultivate artistry within scholars and lifelong respect for the Arts.
OUR STORY
The Vikingettes have held a long history since 1952. Over the last 10 years the dance department has grown to become an establish program that seeks to teach student artist the art of dance.
At NDHSDT, every student receives adequate training in ballet, modern (Horton), jazz, ballet folklorico, african, and Graham. Students are engaged in many before and after hour rehearsal days.
The Vikingettes have several performance throughout the year that include football season, fall performance, competitions, and spring performance. They have gone on to place 1st place in many categories!
The dance department seeks to emerge student artist in professional artist residencies and student teaching opportunities. They also partner with their fellow feeder pattern school to help bridge the gap between middle and high school.

This upcoming 2022 year, the NDHSDT is under the direction of Brittney K. Patikasa-Moore. She strives to bring dance to the community!
